Saving the snowy planet

By Damien Handslip of ASI Inc

Many organisations responsible for the clearance of ice and snow from our roads and pathways get through 100's of thousands of tons of rock salt and grit every year.

Some run out before the end of the snow season and traffic is gridlocked and people fall over and seriously hurt themselves.

Almost certainly the answer is to switch to a non-toxic liquid which can be easily sprayed onto surfaces.

We should consider canvassing our councils to acquire this product before next year's snow is upon us.

Even here in Britain we have had gridlocked roads when roads that have been gritted refreeze. Let's be sensible and stop digging huge quantities of salt and sand from our precious countryside, switch to the safe alternative.

Contributor's Note

I have a vested interest in this product, but truly believe it could be the long term answer to this perennial problem of keeping our roads, car parks and footpaths safe.

A Good New Year to your own tribe. :)

Hi Damien,
I checked out the www.asinnovations.com website. Certainly would be a great improvement over the sand and salt mixtures that we currently use here in Ma. I'll help to spread the word.
Thanks for sharing.
