Our web site popularity
Have you, like myself, struggled to get search engines to display our websites in their search results? First of all you have to optimise your website so that search engines will find it. This means setting up keywords to the content of your website. I use the free Web CEO which does a great job of auto-submission, it also helps you optimise your website for you. Secondly you have to submit your URL to as many search engines as possible.
Thirdly you should look at Pay Per Click. Be careful here, systems like Adwords can cost an arm and a leg to run. Some systems give you hundreds of clicks in unsuitable sites, giving you little or no valid clicks. Finally you should make sure your hosting company is the best you can afford. I use 1and1.co.uk that are a top of the range. They produce all the statistics you need to keep an eye on your URL and monitor its popularity. Currently I am using Exactseek, which like Pogads produce not many clicks so far. I am experimenting with a system called Projectword where you define a word associated with your project, pay £1 by PayPal and it sets off and advertises your url which you linked to the selected word. Results so far are promising. I wish you all the best of luck getting your websites up and running and seen by your potential customers.

I floundered about for a few months before I got any useful search clicks, so don't be worried by some failure at first. All will come good eventually.
