Our Swans have been killed for food
By Damien Handslip of Flag Diesel
Last week I noticed that all of our swans including their cygnets were missing from our lakes. I wondered what had happened. The local swannery representative told me that most of the cygnets were taken into care to ensure their protection. Unfortunately all but two of the swans had been killed for their meat and consumed. The police had been informed and the perpetrators found. These people claimed ignorance of the law against taking and killing swans. It turns out that these people were migrant workers living nearby. They were warned by the police and released. In our law, ignorance is no excuse, so they should have been fined at least. The local farmer sacked those involved. So to that extent they were punished. Two of our swans have now returned to our lakes together with a single well grown cygnet. We are very thankful for that. We hope that the local farmer will warn his workers of the law pertaining to swans.

Excellent intel. Stick to what you know heh? Since all swans are officially owned by the Queen, these people should have been prosecuted, and deported. Of course the police are harrassed by the politically correct not to do anything to upset immigrants, much more important than a few swans.
